BOURBON — Triton High School senior football player D.J. Riffle was honored recently by being named to the 2012 Indianapolis Colts Academic All-Star team.

Riffle, the son of Daniel and Sonya Riffle, was one of 24 players selected for the honor. Players tabbed for the team has to be ranked in the top five percent of their class academically and start in at least 70 percent of their team’s games.

Riffle and the other members of the All-Star team were honored this past Sunday prior to the Colts home game versus Tennessee at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
