The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department has been investigating several break-ins to trailers in Silver Lake.

According to police information, about 12 to 16 trailers were targeted by thieves who broke into the trailers, most of which are summer locations, causing damages and removing items.

The burglaries are this week’s Crimestoppers Crime of the Week.

On Dec. 1, it was reported that several trailers in the Compass Court Trailer Park, 8540 S. 425 W. Silver Lake, were broken into. The incidents occurred sometime between Nov. 24 and Dec. 1.

Police say once entry was made, most of the trailers were ransacked. Copper tubing was also cut and removed and some electronic items were stolen. No estimation of value was reported on damages and or missing property.
