Accidents
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:

  • Monday, Nov. 5, 8:01 p.m. North SR 13, North Webster. Driver: Brent Robinson, 42, North Albert Eckert Dr., North Webster. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $2,500
  • Monday, Nov. 5, 6:18 p.m. East 225 South, Winona Lake. Driver: Nicholas W. Johnson, 22, West 550 South, Claypool. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $1,000
  • Monday, Nov 5, 8:32 p.m. East 250 South, Warsaw. Driver: Matthew D. Owens, 31, East 250 South, Pierceton. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $2,500
  • Sunday, Nov. 4, 11:38 p.m. U.S. 30, Pierceton. Driver: Christopher E. Burcham, 19, Nordholme Avenue, Fort Wayne. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $5,000
  • Sunday, Nov. 4, 7:05 p.m. North 850 East and East 900 North, Syracuse. Driver: Louise Taylor, 49, East Genesee Lane, Cromwell. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $2,500
  • Saturday, Nov. 3, 12:07 p.m. East SR 114 and South 1000 West, Akron. Driver: David K. Dunham, 59, Widaman Street, Winona Lake. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $1,000
  • Saturday, Nov. 3, 7:57 p.m. U.S. 30., Pierceton. Driver: Leveda R. Bird, 46, Lincoln Highway, Bourbon. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $5,000

Incidents
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following incidents:

  • Nov. 5, 8:04 p.m. Brian Dunlap of Etna Green reported the theft of fuel.
  • Nov. 3, 1:09 a.m. Officers were initially called to 203 W. Walnut St., Claypool, in reference to an auto theft. A female was later placed under arrest for multiple offenses.
  • Nov. 3, 4:07 a.m. Pamela Kinser of Warsaw reported a residential entry to her home.
