Four schools are coming together Friday night in a dodgeball competition to collect food for Combined Community Services.

The Food-a-Thon Dodgeball Event for CCS requires just two cans of food to gain admission. All food will be stocked in the CCS Food Pantry which serves more than 560 Kosciusko County families each month.

Participating schools this year are Harrison, Lincoln, Leesburg and Jefferson elementaries. This will be a family fun evening at Lakeview Middle School  beginning at 6:30 p.m.

A special highlight of the evening will be the appearance of Curtis Painter, a former Purdue quarterback and now the Indianapolis Colts quarterback. Curtis will arrive around 6 p.m. to spend time with the fans. He will sign autographs and pose for pictures, but bring your own camera.
