The properties at 302 and 310 S. Buffalo St., were formerly owned by Alan Kado. Earlier this summer the city began working to acquire both properties that were severely delinquent in property taxes.

Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer called both the apartment building and a house problem areas for the city not only because of their physical appearance but also because of a rodent infestation. Prior to today’s demolition, both properties were fumigated.

Warsaw Building Commissioner Todd Slabaugh said the city does not yet have plans for the property, which could become additional parking.
