The Warsaw volleyball team continued to roll Monday night with a 3-1 victory at Huntington North.
The Tigers dropped the first set 26-24 before winning the final three easily by scores of 25-16, 25-13, 25-16 to take the non-conference match.
Senior Jamie Lacheta slammed a team-high 15 kills and powered down eight aces from behind the service line to pace the Tigers, who improved to 21-4 with the win. Lacheta also had 11 digs and a block for the winners.
Emily Poe continued her strong play as the junior totaled eight kills and nine digs. Katie Voelz had seven kills and two blocks. Senior setter Chloe Hubner had 36 assists and two blocks and senior Sam Jensen had two blocks and an ace. Delaney Goble had nine digs and Taylor Jagger six kills for the Tigers. Senior libero Alex Sanchez led the winning effort on defense with 18 digs.
Warsaw hosts Concord Thursday in its final conference match of the season. The Tigers have already clinched at least a share of the Northern Lakes Conference championship at 6-0 in league play. The contest will also be a Dig Pink match to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer. The junior varsity match Thursday begins at 5:30 p.m. with the varsity to follow.
