The Whitko volleyball team lost in straight sets to Columbia City Monday night.

Maddie Gawthrop and Elaine Warner each had four kills to lead Whitko. Meghan Peters had 10 assists, while Warner had two aces and Gawthrop two blocks. Jenny Brown led Whitko with 13 digs.

The Whitko JV team also lost to the Eagles in straight sets. Tressa Keim and Gretta Schneider each had two kills for Whitko. Jasmine Gregory had three assists and Tori Silveus and Rachel Hippensteel each had two aces. Emily Hughes and Sarah Senseny each had three digs and Schneider and Whitney Marsh each had one block.

Whitko hosts Wawasee tonight (Sept. 25) starting with the JV match at 6 p.m. It will be Pink Out Night to support Breast Cancer Awareness and fans are encouraged to wear pink to the match.
