SOUTH BEND — Junior Trey Stoll continued his torrid start to the 2012 season by winning his second individual medal on Tuesday at the Holy Cross Invitational.

Stoll found himself three strokes behind the leader after a first-round 75 at the Warren Golf Course. He went on to fire the lowest score of the tournament on Tuesday with an even-par 70 to win by two strokes. Stoll has now won four tournaments for Grace since last fall.

The Lancers as a team finished in sixth place with a 646 for the tournament.

Sophomore Taylor Fanning was second for the Lancers in scoring with a score of 80-87. Kal Denlinger bounced back in a major way to improve by 14 strokes on Tuesday. He carded a second-round 77 to finish with a 168.

Caleb Rovenstine had a strong first-round score of 78 to round out Grace’s scoring. He finished with a two-day total of 170.

Taylor Breeden was the fifth-scorer for Grace, finishing with an 87-97 in his collegiate debut.

The Lancers will continue competition on Sept. 24-25 at the Bethel Invitational from Blackthorn Golf Course.
