The Wawasee Yacht Club in Syracuse hosted the 2012 Inland 20 Scow National Championship Regatta, beginning with Friday afternoon races on Lake Wawasee. Racing will continue this weekend with a pair of races scheduled for Saturday and another on Sunday.

The I-Scow series boats are a little shorter in length than the normal E-Scow boats which race on Wawasee all summer long. The I-Scows are 20-feet long compared to the 28-foot E-Scows.

There were 24 entrants in the water Friday for the national from all over the Midwest. For more information on the event, as well as happenings at the Wawasee Yacht Club, visit www.wawaseeyachtclub.com
