Mary Louise Ridenour, 99, of Warsaw, Ind., and formerly of Wabash, Ind., passed away at 6:25 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at Gardens of Lake City in Warsaw.

She was born on Dec. 31, 1912, in Marion, Ind., to Herbert and Georgiana (Kerlin) Knox. She graduated in 1930 from Marion High School and on Jan. 24, 1932, in Wabash, she married Donald “Don” Ridenour who preceded her in 1983.

She was a homemaker, farmer’s wife and formerly worked as a secretary at Southwood High School. She lived most of her life in Wabash until 5 years ago when she moved to the Warsaw area. She was a member of Wabash Friends Church.

She is survived by three grandchildren: Steve (Jeannie) Ross, Leesburg, Ind.; DeAnn (Don) Osborne, Leesburg; and Susan (Jeff) Lewis, Phoenix, Ariz.; nine great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother: Grace Hopkins; her husband; two daughters: Shirley Ross and Eleanor Ridenour; and a sister: Thelma.

Private family graveside services will be at the Friends Cemetery in Wabash with Rev. Dave Phillips officiating.

Owen Family Funeral Home in North Webster is handling the arrangements.

Memorial bequest may be given to Heartland Hospice, 1315 Directors Row, Fort Wayne, IN 46808. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
