Zelvia “Tincy” (Newsome) Gayheart, 77, of Claypool, Ind., passed away at 2:48 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Ind.

She was born on April 16, 1935, to Perry and Nola (Sword) Newsome in Floyd County, Ky. She has lived her life in Floyd County and Kosciusko County.

She was a Homemaker. Zelvia was a member of Early Apostolic Bible Training Center, Claypool. She was a licensed minister and was the first honorary mother of the church.

Zelvia is survived by three daughters: Carolyn Sue (Sterling) Hall, Fort Wayne, Indi.; Rosalind (immy) Gillespie, Floyd County, Ky.; and Regina (Stephen B.) Poe, Claypool; four sons: Dewey Gayheart, Jimmy (Julia) Gayheart and Shannon Gayheart, all of Warsaw; and Reginald Jr. (Holly) Gayheart, Loudonville, Ohio; and Paul (Nita) Gayheart, Claypool; two brothers: Cornelius (Judy Faye) Newsome, Warsaw; and William Lee Newsome, Willard, Ohio; and 29 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded by a son: Elvis Dean Gayheart; four brothers and five sisters.

Zelvia enjoyed serving the Lord and traveling.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 14-15, at Early Apostolic Bible Training Center, 6800 South SR 15 Claypool. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at the church, with Pastor Dean Ealey officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
