The Whitko volleyball team evened its conference record with a 3-1 victory over Manchester Thursday night.

Maddie Gawthrop  slammed 11 kills and Whitney Hobbs added eight as the Wildcats won the Three Rivers Conference clash 25-12, 19-25, 25-14, 25-15.

Gawthrop also led Whitko with five aces as coach Brandy Smith’s squad improved to 4-7 overall and 1-1 in TRC play. Meghan Peters dished out 29 assists and Jenny Brown had three aces and a team-high 22 digs for the winners.

Elaine Warner had 18 digs and Taylor Zwick led Whitko with two blocks.

Whitko won the JV match 25-17, 25-23. Jasmine Gregory led the winners with nine assists and five digs. Emily Hughes had three kills and Whitney Marsh five aces for the Wildcats.
