On Sept. 6, the Whitman Group hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of their its location at 220 Parker St. in Warsaw, Ind.

The national headquarters house all 15 companies of the Whitman Group, the primary companies being The Whitman Insurance Agency, Nutritional Resources, Certified Natural Health Professionals, the Trinity School of Natural Health and Limited Edition Herbs.

“We bought the building, which once housed the Bertsch Vending Company, because of its spaciousness and location. We are thrilled to consolidate these companies which used to be in various locations spread throughout Warsaw and Winona Lake,” said Julie Whitman Kline, CEO of the Whitman Group.

Dr. Wendell Whitman originally founded the Whitman Insurance Agency in l975. Over the following years, based on his belief in natural health, he expanded to include companies that support healthy lifestyles through the use of natural products and services and offer natural health educational programs to the public.   His daughter, Julie Whitman Kline, assumed the leadership role of the organization after Dr. Whitman passed away in 2008.  “It was my father’s vision to create a family of complimentary and cohesive companies that encourage natural health and protect free access to the latest natural health information.”

The Whitman Group provides business and personal insurance programs, produces national health events, publishes natural health educational books and a membership magazine, produces natural products for retail sales, offers distance learning educational programs and manages a number of membership organizations.

“Now that we’re under one roof, our management team will have the opportunity to interface on a more regular and productive basis,” said Whitman-Kline.

The Whitman Insurance Agency and the Nutritional Resources retail store will be open to the public Monday through Saturday. Also open to the public is The Charter College of Health and Massage Therapy, which will continue to remain at their current location of 714 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw.
