At approximately 3:55 a.m. today, two inmates in the Elkhart County Jail escaped their confines and are today at large.

Elkhart County officials say Dontea Bush, 19, of Elkhart, and George Sanks, 19, of Elkhart, exited a back door of their ward and escaped custody. Both offenders are considered to be non-violent and were serving a term of incarceration in the Work Release facility.
