Alice V. Donovan, 91, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 9:35 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, in Greencroft Health Care Goshen, Ind.

On Feb. 26, 1921 she was born in Warsaw to William and Viola (Shafer) Rowe. She was a lifetime resident of Warsaw. Alice married Joseph P. Donovan on Sept. 7, 1946. Alice and Joe were able to enjoy 54 years together.

Alice was a past member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Warsaw. She retired from L.M. Barry after 35 years.

Alice is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a sister-in-law.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband and all of her siblings: Ethel Insley, Mary Weaver, Helen Stackhouse, David Rowe, Vivian Sharp, Sarah (Sue) Lange, as well as two infant brothers.

A private family ceremony will be held on Sept. 30 at New Paris First Brethren Church. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.

McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is handling the arrangements.
