Teen Faces Felony For Knife Incident

Kosciusko County Prosecutor Dan Hampton has filed one felony and two misdemeanor charges against Antonio Ortiz, 14, Milford, when the teen was found to be in possession of a knife on school property.

Ortiz is currently detained at Pierceton Woods Juvenile Detention Center.

Ortiz was taken into custody by police Friday, Aug. 24, when he was found to be in possession of a knife on school property. Hampton is charging the teenager with criminal reckless with a deadly
weapon, a class D felony; possession of a knife on school property and possession of a switchblade, both class B misdemeanors.

A juvenile delinquency hearing has not yet been set.
