Brandon J. Clawson, CR 300E, Syracuse, was held at Pierceton Woods Juvenile Detention Center until his dispositional hearing this morning in Kosciusko County.

Stacey Page attempted to attend the dispositional hearing, but was denied access following a brief hearing before the judge. Defense attorney Thomas Earhart objected to having the press present for the dispositional hearing. Kosciusko County Juvenile Judge Duane Huffer ruled after a brief hearing that dispositional hearings are only open for murder and felony cases per IC 31-32-6-4.

On Monday, Kosciusko County Prosecutor Dan Hampton said the press would be able to attend this morning’s hearing and said per IC 31-39-2-8 and IC 31-39-3-3, the juvenile’s name is public record.

Clawson was adjudicated on three counts of institutional criminal mischief and three counts of disorderly conduct on Aug. 15, in juvenile court. He is accused of making bomb threats at Milford School in the spring.

At the Aug. 15 hearing, Clawson was remanded to Pierceton Woods Juvenile Center until this morning’s hearing. He was led into the courtroom this morning in handcuffs and shackles.
