Elkhart County Sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help in identifying two male suspects who entered an Elkhart home this morning and threatened an elderly woman.

Shirley Neel, 70, was home and sleeping in her home in the 29000 block of CR 12 in Elkhart at approximately 6:25 a.m. today when the two suspects came into her room, shined a light in her face and displayed an unknown type of handgun. The suspects demanded money.

Neel activated a Life Alert device and the suspects fled from the home. Neel was not injured.

ECSD deputies and detectives are continuing their investigation and are asking for any information that may be useful in identifying the suspects.
