Whitko’s girls soccer team tasted defeat for the first time in 2012, losing to West Noble, 3-1, Saturday morning in South Whitley.

Ana Herrera scored a pair of goals and Beni Murillo added another tally for the Lady Chargers, which move to 1-1 on the season. Alle Zamarripa and Karla Carillo were credited with assists for West Noble while keeper Carolina Guzman earned the win in net.

Whitko (0-1-1) did not list its goal scorer or individual statistics from the match. All four of the game’s goals were scored in the first half.

The Lady Wildcats will look to pick up its first win of the season this Thursday when it travels to Rochester.
