UPDATE: Death Investigation In Elkhart
The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department and the Elkhart County Coroner’s Office are investigating the death of an adult female found deceased inside an Elkhart home.
The woman, identified as 26-year-old Gabriela Avila-Claros, was found deceased inside of the residence at 29118 Norman Ct. on Thursday. An autopsy was performed today, however, the cause of death is still to be determined, pending further tests.
Police say the body of Avila-Claros was found dead in a basement bedroom at the home at 2:48 p.m.
Elkhart County authorities do not suspect foul play at this time.
