A proposal for street repaving was submitted by North Webster Utilities Manager Mike Noe to the North Webster Town Council at its Monday evening meeting. “I’d like to get the bidding process under way as soon as possible because we have funds allocated to do it this year and we’d like to get it done before the weather changes,” he said.

After council members look at the streets later this week and prioritize them by the need for paving, the council will meet at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, in town hall to vote on the measure. East Washington Street and Mulberry Street were mentioned as prime locations for repaving by Noe and council member Lisa Strombeck.

Clerk-Treasurer Betsy Luce announced that the first budget hearing will be at the next regular town council meeting, 6 p.m., Sept. 18, at the North Webster Community Center, 301 N. Main St. The second is scheduled for 8 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 4, in town hall, 144 S. Main St.
