A couple of power surges have knocked out electricity to an area north of U.S. 30, including Biomet and the Green Acres Mobile Home Park, and also a stoplight on U.S. 30.

Traffic is getting very backed up in an area already congested due to road construction for the new Meijer store. The light at CR 200 North/Anchorage Road was out, but Warsaw Police say the light was reactivated at 3:50 p.m.

Local residents should avoid U.S. 30 from Parker Street to the east and from SR 15 to the west.
