WHS Grad Among New Elkhart County Officers

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department is swearing in new patrol and corrections officers today and a local man is among them.

Corrections Officer Patrick Morganthaler is a 1982 graduate of Wawasee High School and attended Vincennes University. He is one of five new officers being sworn in at 1:30 p.m. today in the Elkhart County Circuit Court room. Judge Terry Shewmaker will swear in the officers.

Also new to the ECSD are patrol officer Casey Polachek, a 2003 graduate of Elkhart Memorial High School; Corrections Officer Trenton St. Germain, a 2009 graduate of Goshen High School; Corrections Officer Shane Mishler, a 1991 graduate of Westview High School; and Corrections Officer Joshua Payne, a 2009 graduate of Goshen High School.
