Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in a crash that happened just west of CR 700 West on CR 400 North today.

Shortly after 3 p.m. authorities received the call that a vehicle crashed into a utility pole and into a field. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies on scene say the two occupants of the vehicle were likely intoxicated. One suffered a minor injury and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Kosciusko REMC was called to the scene as the live power line was downed.
