Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department Incidents
Incidents
The following incidents were recently investigated by officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department:
- Thursday, July 19, 10:10 p.m. An officer was called to a home on East Black Point Road, Syracuse, in reference to a child abuse case. The case is under investigation.
- Wednesday, July 18. Molly Rostochak, EMS B40A Lane, Leesburg, reported the theft of cash, change and keys stolen from her van, which was left unlocked.
- Wednesday, July 18. Janene Kent of Noblesville reported the theft of a Nintendo DS XL and a game stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at a location on EMS B43 Lane, Leesburg. The car had been left unlocked.
- Wednesday, July 18. Peggy Gerkin, EMS B40A Lane, Leesburg, reported the theft of change and a Walmart gift card stolen from her van, which was left unlocked.
- Saturday, July 14. Rhonda Ashby of Elkhart reported a basement window had been broken out of a home at 212 W. Main St., Mentone. It did not appear anything was missing.
- Friday, July 13. A passerby reported a door open at a vacant house on East CR 550 South, Warsaw. An officer found the front door had been kicked in and it appeared electrical wire had been removed.
- Sunday, June 24. Brian Carter, Warsaw, reported a theft of air compressors and a finish nailer from a construction site on West CR 200 South.
