Charges are being sought against three individuals involved in a burglary at Suburban Acres Mobile Home Park, Warsaw.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to the trailer park on CR North 175 East, where a burglary in progress was reported. According to Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Rick Shepherd, a family member of the mobile home owner arrived at the residence and observed approximately four people inside. When the suspects attempted to flee, a fight ensued between the witness and one of the suspects.

Although a complete report is not available, Shepherd says the suspect involved in the physical altercation was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital with facial injuries which consist of a possible broken jaw. His condition today is unknown. A warrant is being sought for his arrest.

A second suspect, a male juvenile, was taken into custody at the scene and released to his parents. The third suspect was identified by neighbors and, with the help of a police K9, was also taken into custody at his residence in the mobile home park.

Shepherd said it is unclear if a fourth suspect was actually involved. If anyone has additional information on the case, they are asked to call the KCSD at 574-267-5667.

The KCSD was assisted at the scene by Warsaw and Winona Lake police and Multi-Township EMS.
