A man in police custody jumped out of the squad car and is now being treated by medics.

The incident happened shortly before 7 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of South SR 13, Pierceton. The officer told dispatch the subject suffered cuts and scrapes but was otherwise fine after jumping out of the car. It is not clear if the vehicle was moving at the time.
