The 200 Block of West Fort Wayne Street in Warsaw is closed due to a gas leak in that area and police say it will be remain closed for most of the day.

Warsaw Fire Department was called to the location around 7:30 a.m. for the odor of natural gas and found natural gas bubbling up from the ground. Fire crews are standing by at the scene. NIPSCO is sending crews to the scene.

Motorist should expect Fort Wayne Street, between Lake and Washington streets, to be closed the majority of today.
