An 18-year-old Elkhart man has been identified as the driver who fatally injured a bicyclist in June.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department today announced that Kevin William-Dean Meyer was the driver of the vehicle that struck a bicycle at 3:35 a.m. June 7 on CR 17, just south of the U.S. 20 underpass in Elkhart. Raymundo Macjado Sabag, 60, died at the scene. Until now, police have sought the suspect vehicle and its operator and say their case against Meyer has been turned over to the Elkhart County Prosecutor’s office for review.
