A mobile food pantry came to Combined Community Services today to help feed area residents.

A program of the Food Bank of Northern Indiana, the mobile food pantry travels to area communities at least one time per week doling out fresh produce, dairy products, breads and other foods. Amanda Peterson of FBNI, says they usually hand out food to as many as 300 people at each event. She expected today’s number to be in the 200s.

The mobile food pantry was open from 10 a.m. to noon.
