Dale E. Stringham, 63, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 12:06 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2012, at his residence on Barbee Lake.

He was born on April 23, 1949, in Chicago, Ill., to George E. Stringham and Madeline B. (Baikie) Stringham.

Dale was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Marines. He worked for the United States Postal Service for many years, and was a member of the American Legion Post #49 of Warsaw, Indiana. He visited the area for many years prior to moving here permanently in 1997.

He will be lovingly remembered by his two sisters: Luanne (Marty) Tarvid, Blue Island, Ill.; and Diane (Ricky) Jacobson, Blue Island, Ill.; two nieces: Jillian and Nicole; two nephews: Marty and Tony; and his girlfriend: Deb Ogborn, and her family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private graveside service will be conducted at a later date in a Veteran’s Cemetery in Illinois. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, Ind.
