Incidents
The following incidents were investigated by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.

  • Tuesday, June 26, at 8:40 p.m., Larry Honeycutt of Warsaw reported that his vehicle had been keyed. A suspect was named.
  • Tuesday, June 26, at 2:31 p.m., a Warsaw woman and a Pierceton woman reported seeing a Warsaw man masturbating in his home, facing the public street.
  • Monday, June 25, at 9:12 p.m., officers were called to the scene of an accident, where Fatima Castillo of Warsaw was discovered to have been driving on a suspended license.
  • Monday, June 25, at 7:22 p.m., Christopher Winterrowd of Warsaw reported that he had just been battered. A suspect was named.
  • Monday June 25, at 11:33 a.m., Glenda Woodcox reported drug paraphernalia. Two suspects were named.
  • Monday, June 25, at 9:12 a.m., Josh Bays of Claypool reported a battery. A suspect was named.
  • Monday, June 25, Duane and Chrystal Taylor of Syracuse reported that a rainbow colored quilt was stolen from their shed.
  • Monday, June 25, Rhonda Wrightsman of Silver Lake reported that Leona E. Smith of Warsaw had had more than $20,000 dollars stolen from her. A suspect was named.
  • Sunday, June 24, Penny Small of Claypool reported that someone had broken her windshield.
  • Friday, June 22, at 5:41 p.m., a Silver Lake man reported that he was being threatened at his residence.
  • Friday, June 22, at 4:16 a.m., Jerry Miller Jr. and Misty M. Barnhart of Silver Lake reported a runaway.
  • Thursday, June 21, at 4:28 p.m., Anthony L. Hall of Leesburg reported fraudulent charges made to his bank account.
  • Thursday, June 21, G. Brent White of North Webster reported a break-in to cargo trailers and performance equipment stolen from the trailers at his business, Brenspeed Motors.
  • Wednesday, June 20, Jamie Fox of South Bend reported that she ran over a truck tire that was on the roadway on US 30 in the eastbound lane, east of SR 19.
  • Saturday, June 16, a Silver Lake man reported that his neighbor was harassing his daughter and wife.
Accidents
The following accidents were investigated by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
  • Wednesday, June 27, 8:30 a.m., 6293 CR 975 E, North Webster. Driver: Brice G. Islas, 18, 8842 E 500 N, North Webster. Driver swerved to avoid a deer, hit a mailbox, large rock, and a wood pile. Damages up to $5,000.
  • Wednesday, June 27, 7:00 a.m., CR 700 E, Pierceton. Driver 1: Ryan M. Busz, 21, 7665 S 950 W -92, North Manchester. Driver 2: Dale T. Wilcoxson, 54, 8506 E Ryerson Rd., Pierceton. Driver 1 drifted left of center and sideswiped Driver 2. Damages up to $10,000.
  • Tuesday, June 26, 11:44 p.m., SR 25 S, Warsaw. Driver: Abigail R. Phagan, 30, 1116 Franklin St., Rochester. Driver struck a deer. Damages up to $2,500.
  • Tuesday, June 26, 7:44 a.m., Martin Dr., Burket. Driver: Shadow R. Shepherd, 19, 12600 S SR 13 Lot 35, North Manchester. Driver left the roadway and collided into a mailbox and large rock, then let the scene. Driver was located and arrested. Damages up to $2,500.
  • Friday, June 22, 4:45 a.m., CR 300 E. Driver: Monica J. Lamb, 30, 308 Donna St., Leesburg. Driver swerved to avoid hitting several deer crossing the road, struck a Kosciusko REMC pole and landed in a ditch. Damages up to $10,000.
  • Thursday, June 21, 12:05 p.m., 9322 E Koher S Rd., Syracuse. Driver: Kimberly R. Leffers, 32, 6050 Indianola Ave., Indianapolis. Driver attempted to back out of a driveway with loose gravel, slid down a hill and off the roadway. Vehicle collided with trees. Damages up to $10,000.
  • Wednesday, June 20, 9:25 a.m., 1692 E 200 N Rd., Warsaw. Driver 1: Neal R. Butler, 49, 1327 Wooster Rd., Winona Lake. Driver 2: Hilda Cervantes-Nunez, 45, 705 Southside Dr., Warsaw. Vehicle 1 picked up a passenger and then began backing up to turn around, striking Vehicle 2. Damages up to $5,000.
