Scott Awarded Doctor of Education Degree

Former Warsaw resident and 1979 graduate of Warsaw Community High School, Brian Scott, was awarded his Doctor of Education degree at commencement ceremonies held at Ball State University on May 5, 2012.

Dr. Scott majored in elementary education with cognates in curriculum and technology and school administration. His dissertation was The Effectiveness of Differentiated Instruction in the Elementary Mathematics Classroom.

He is  principal of Avon Intermediate School East in Avon, Ind., and was a teacher in the Warsaw Community School Corporation at Atwood, Leesburg and Eisenhower Elementary schools from 1983-94.

He is married to Jeanine (Wasz) Scott, has three teenage daughters, and resides in Fishers.  Dr. Scott is is the son of Nedra and Wally Bahler of Fishers and Eugene Scott of Plainfield. He is the grandson of Paul and Marietta Scott of Rochester.
