Former Warsaw Community High School basketball star Nic Moore decided in May to transfer from Illinois State after coach Tim Jankovich left the program.
It looks like the two will be reunited in Texas.
Numerous reports have stated that Moore has decided to join coach Jankovich at SMU. Jankovich left ISU in late April  to become the associate coach/coach-in-waiting at SMU under Larry Brown.
Moore, a 5-9 guard, averaged 10 points and nearly four assists per game his freshman season at ISU. He earned All-Freshman honors in the Missouri Valley Conference and led ISU to the league tournament title game. Moore started 29 games his freshman season in helping ISU post a 21-14 mark.
Moore, a native of Winona Lake, led the Tigers to a Class 4-A state runner-up finish in 2010 as a junior. He then was an Indiana All-Star and runner-up for Mr. Basketball honors his senior season in 2011. Moore ranks second in school history in career scoring behind Kevin Ault with 1,891 points. He averaged 27.2 points and 4.7 assists his senior season at WCHS playing for coach Doug Ogle’s squad.
Moore is one of three players transferring to SMU, which is slated to join the Big East Conference in 2013. The other two are Crandall Head (Illinois) and Josiah Turner (Arizona). The three will have to sit out the 2012-13 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
Moore said in May that his transfer was due to coach Jankovich’s departure from ISU and that he wanted to play for a BCS program. It was earlier reported by ESPN.com that he had narrowed his list to Purdue, Illinois and Notre Dame.
