Country Stars Currington, Vassar Coming To Warsaw

This year’s 5th Annual Day at the Lake to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital will feature two big names in country music.

Billy Currington and Phil Vassar are set to headline the day-long event on Sept. 9, which is held at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds.

Currington, known for his curly locks, is famous for hits like “Good Directions” and “People are Crazy,” has 10 Top 10 hits to his credit.

Also appearing is Vassar, who will likely sing his popular hits “Little Red Rodeo” and “Just Another Day in Paradise.” Vassar is a two-time ASCAP Songwriter of the Year and was Billboard Magazine’s Top New Country Artist.

The Day at the Lake event is held annually to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Events and concerts are held throughout the day. Allan & Ashcraft are the opening act for Vassar and Currington. There will also be activities for children, including pony rides and parents can have an ID kit made for their child which includes fingerprints and photographs.

All proceeds from the event, including a 100-mile Ride for Research.

Tickets for the event will go on sale Wednesday, June 20. Ticket prices are $15, $25 and $35 and tickets may be purchased at the fair office or online at KCFair.org.
