Lions Club International President Dr. Wing Kun Tam of Hong Kong, set a goal in July 2011 for the Lions of the World to plant 1 million trees. As of last count, the goal had been far surpassed with over 8 million trees planted worldwide by Lions clubs.

Helping to contribute to that goal recently was the Pierceton Lions Club. They planted two trees on June 9 in the town’s Washington Ball Park.
