North Webster Ace Hardware is raffling a grill to benefit Riley’s Hospital for Children at IU Health, Indianapolis, and A Rosie Place, South Bend.

These causes are very close to the hearts of Ace owners Dennis and Anita Wagoner. Their granddaughters – Alexa, 12, and Elle Crawford, 8 – and their parents, Christa and Steve Crawford, use both of the facilities quite often.

While Riley Hospital is well know, A Rosie Place is not. It is a short-term care facility serving northern Indiana’s medically fragile children. It is a home-away-from-home that gives children ages birth to 21 a safe, comfortable place to stay while their families and caregivers receive respite from the demands of 24-hour care giving.

A Rosie Place is Indiana’s first licensed not-for-profit specialty hospital dedicated exclusively to serving the growing number of medically fragile children and their families.

Scholarships to take advantage of A Rosie Place are sponsored entirely through fund-raising efforts and donations. The grill is a Weber Spirit E-310 worth almost $500. Drawing of the winner will be held on Wednesday, July 4, at the store. Tickets are now on sale at Ace Hardware of North Webster.
