Steven Baxter, Columbia City, and Lauraine Baxter, Fort Wayne, announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Stansell, Portage, Mich., to Christopher Cripe, Pierceton. He is the son of Terry and Sally Cripe, North Webster.

The bride-elect works as a waitress in Michigan and graduated from Columbia City High School in 2002.

The bridegroom-elect is co-owner of Cripe Excavating Inc. He graduated from Wawasee High School in 2003.

The couple plan a July 7, 2012, wedding.
