KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — The field of candidates for the Kosciusko County Council at-large seat has grown to five.

WARSAW — Tax abatements for Little Crow Lofts LLC, salary ordinances for general employees and fire territory staff and the 2017 appropriations and tax rate were unanimously approved by members of the Warsaw Common Council Monday evening, Oct. 3.

WARSAW — Proposed 2017 budgets from 10 not-for-profits were heard by Warsaw Common Council members Monday evening, Aug. 1. The meeting, due to the budget requests, began one hour earlier than normal.

WARSAW — John Sampson, president/chief executive officer of the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, presented an update on the quest to become one of two regional initiatives to receive a $42 million grand from the Indiana Economic Development Commission. His presentation was made during the Warsaw Common Council meeting Monday evening, Oct. 19.

WARSAW — The Kosciusko County Election board has made the decision to use “candidate deceased” in place of Charles Smith’s name on the Warsaw city election ballot for the Nov. 3 election. The Republican party will not be filling the ballot vacancy before the election deadline.

The ballot is set for November’s Municipal Election for the city of Warsaw. The final results are in with all 39 precincts reporting. The referendum for the Warsaw Community School Corp., has passed with a resounding 2,999 total votes in favor and 1,814 against.
